Slow Speed in Racing
The artistic project Slow Speed in Racing by Miquel Liso shows the world of Formula 1 as no one else has ever captured before. It is the result of 9 intense years of exclusive dedication during the Grand Prix.

Miquel Liso can create what doesn’t exist, and there are not many photographers in races who can do it. Miquel didn’t choose to be in the races; the races chose him.

The images, captured at low speed, tearing the most essential elements of Formula 1 filled with an explosion of color, light and texture out of the ordinary.

"As a photographer he is not a voyeur, but a hunter. Miquel doesn’t wait for things to happen in front of him but goes in search of it. You move, you stand next to him, you use the same cameras, you point at the same cars, you shoot at the same time, you clone their mo- vements... The practice session ends, you download your photos, and, to your surprise, you see things in his images that you haven’t seen nowhere. Then you understand that he has seen what you were never even able to imagine. The light was the same, but the reality was different: he can create what doesn’t exist, and there are not many photographers in races who can do it. Miquel didn’t choose to be in the races; the races chose him".
